Biography:

Veta currently serves as a director for PE-backed, high-growth, AI-integrated, technology services companies through strategic advisory board roles with DiliTrust and JusticeBid. She was previously an advisory board director with Burford Capital (NYSE, LSE: BUR), and with Ethisphere where, as a strategic partner to the CEO/Founder, she helped strengthen selection criteria for the World’s Most Ethical Companies, raise brand visibility, scale revenue strategically, and enable the company's successful exit via private equity acquisition.

Veta also has deep experience in the civic/nonprofit sector as a board member with the Town of Cheverly Ethics Board (Maryland) and previously, the ACC, ACC Foundation and Mariposa Museum. Her thought leadership and articles on a variety of board governance topics have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Financial Times Agenda Week, New York Times, Washington Post, as well as specialty publications such as, Directors & Boards, Directorship, Corporate Counsel, and Corporate Counsel Business Journal. She holds the credentials of BoardTrust® Certified (CEO Trust) and Directorship Certified (National Association of Corporate Directors). She is also a four-time NACD Directorship 100 governance honoree.

Prior to for-profit board service and consulting through Oakton Ventures, Veta was President & CEO of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), the largest and top-ranked global professional services organization dedicated to empowering corporate legal executives to navigate wide-ranging legal, regulatory, risk management, and compliance issues. She retired from ACC in October 2025 to open space for other interests and passions.

Veta is passionate about development of next generation professionals and career advisory support for business executives at all levels who are seeking to achieve next-level breakthroughs.
