How to Create and Use a GLL Request for Proposal (RFP)

Step 1: Create a Personal User Profile

To access the RFP system, users must create a personal profile. Purpose of the profile: Enables secure submission of RFPs Provides access to a personal dashboard on legal subjects, countries and languages, This ensures confidentiality and controlled disclosure of information. Privacy Protection: Your email address and company/firm name are not disclosed to professional firms unless you explicitly authorize disclosure. Your information is never sold or transferred to third parties.

Step 2: Access Your User Dashboard

Each registered user has a personal dashboard, accessible via computer or mobile device.

• Record and track all RFPs submitted
• Receive and store proposals from law firms, accounting firms, consultants, and ALSPs
• Compare responses side-by-side (expertise, experience, fees, timelines)
• Maintain a historical record of sourcing decisions

Step 3: Define Your Global Practice Needs

The RFP system allows you to identify precise expertise by jurisdiction and cost. You may search by: Country, State / Province or Specific firm name. You may also select: Law Firms, Accounting Firms, Consultants, Alternative Legal Service Providers (ALSPs). This enables sourcing for: Cross-border matters, Specialized regulatory or transactional work, Cost-sensitive or alternative delivery models.

Step 4: Confidentiality and NDA Protection

Before any sensitive information is shared, the system incorporates a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). NDA Definition: A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is a legally binding contract that: Defines confidential information, Restricts disclosure to third parties, Protects proprietary, strategic, or sensitive data. NDAs are standard practice across legal, accounting, consulting, and financial services engagements.

Step 5: Submit the RFP Form

Once the jurisdiction and service type are selected:

1. Click on the RFP form
2. Complete the required fields (scope, expertise, budget range, timing)
3. Submit the form securely

An automated email is sent to network member firms located in the selected country or state.

Step 6: Receive and Compare Proposals

After submission: Qualified firms submit responses through their Service Provider Dashboard. Responses are delivered directly to your User Dashboard. All proposals are presented in a consistent, comparable format.

Service Provider Dashboard: Each participating law firm, consultant, or ALSP has its own dashboard to: Receive RFPs, Submit structured responses, Track referrals and outcomes.

Step 7: Select the Best Provider

You may evaluate proposals based on: Exact expertise, Jurisdictional experience, Pricing structure, Value and delivery model, Reputation and independent rankings.
